Cristina Correia

Cristina Neves Correia is Head of the Committee Support Division of the Portuguese Parliament (Assembleia da República). She has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in Administration and Public Policies from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. She also has a post-graduate degree in Advanced Studies in Public Management from the National Institute of Administration (INA) (having won the Prize Marquês de Pombal, awarded to the highest ranked student of the year); in Hospital Administration from the National School of Public Health (Nova University Lisbon); and in European Studies from the European Institute of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She joined the Portuguese Parliament in 2003, after several years of practice as a lawyer and, later, as hospital manager. Between 2003 and 2011 she was adviser of several parliamentary committees (Budget and Finance, European Affairs and Labour and Social Security). She was Head of the Procurement and Patrimony Division between 2012 and 2017 and Permanent Representative of the Portuguese Parliament to the EU institutions, in Brussels, between September 2017 and June 2019.
